About the Role:

IT OSS Senior Solution Designer position is key to our organizations’ strategic OSS Transformation. You will lead the solution design across key operational domains, including Network Inventory (Physical and Logical - PNI/LNI), Workflow Systems, Monitoring, Event Management, and IT Integration. Your expertise will be crucial in strategically replacing existing OSS legacy systems including TIBCO-based IT integration (covering Enterprise Integration services incl. business process logic and Service order management) with a modern, API-driven, and cloud-native OSS architecture, significantly enhancing business agility, accelerating time-to-market, and optimizing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute strategic roadmaps for our OSS Transformation, specifically covering PNI/LNI, Workflow Systems, Monitoring, Event Management, and the replacement of legacy IT Integration.
  • Lead the design and implementation of a new IT integration layer fully compliant with TM Forum Open APIs and Open Digital Architecture (ODA) principles across our IT ecosystem.
  • Define and implement integration and orchestration patterns (API Gateway, service mesh, event streaming ...) to ensure scalability, resilience, and decoupled system communication across OSS domains.
  • Design and develop modern cloud-native solutions for all core OSS domains, utilizing microservices, containerization, and event-driven architectures as the foundation for this new IT Integration.
  • Mentor technical teams and establish best practices to build organizational capability in advanced OSS architecture and the new IT integration solution.
  • Collaborate closely with DevSecOps teams to design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies supporting continuous delivery of integration components.
  • Ensure architectural alignment between design, development, and operations through API-first and cloud-native design practices. 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years in enterprise architecture/solution design, with 5+ years specifically in telecommunications OSS environments.
  • Expertise in OSS Transformation across Network Inventory (Amdocs Resource manager/Cramer, GE Smallworld, Netcracker, Cross), Workflow Systems (JIRA, Nokia Motive), Monitoring (Zabbix), Event Management (Netcool), and IT Integration (Tibco, WSO2).
  • Proven hands-on experience with TM Forum Open APIs and Open Digital Architecture (ODA) implementation, with a focus on building new integration solutions including practical application of integration patterns (synchronous/asynchronous, event-driven, message bus, API Gateway, choreography vs. orchestration) and modern microservices-based integration. Candidate must understand architecture standards, design patterns, shape short-term and long-term architecture solution options involving pros and cons.
  • Practical understanding of DevSecOps principles, CI/CD tools and pipelines.
  • Proficiency in modern backend technologies (Java, Python) and software design best practices.
  • Proven/prior experience in developing OSS applications leveraging microservices architecture and cloud-native technologies and solutions including hybrid integration architecture.
  • Experience with TIBCO products (BW5, BW6, BWCE, FOM/FOS) and TIBCO transformation to a new architecture is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in modern architectural principles (microservices, containerization, cloud platforms, event-driven architectures) for building next-gen IT integration.
  • Knowledge or Past experience in AI Use cases in OSS domain specially covering AI driven Service Orchestration and Assurance.
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, analytical, documentation, communication and presentation skills for driving large-scale change. Ability to influence technical and business stakeholders and mentoring teams.
