To establish and embed a best‑in‑class governance framework that enables Allwyn to innovate responsibly and effectively with artificial‑intelligence technologies. The AI Governance Lead designs, implements and continuously improves policies, standards and oversight processes that ensure every AI and generative‑AI solution across Allwyn is lawful, ethical, transparent and aligned with our Group values. By partnering with product, marketing, risk, legal, compliance, security and engineering teams, the role mitigates risk, drives regulatory readiness (e.g., EU AI Act) and cultivates a culture of responsible and impactful AI throughout the organization.

What will you do:

  • Develop and maintain the Group AI governance framework and strategy, defining principles, policies and control mechanisms covering risk assessment, transparency, fairness, accountability and security of AI solutions.

  • Contribute to the Group AI strategy with a focus on its impact on responsible AI
  • Support our Group’s operating companies in designing, managing and monitoring their AI governance framework
  • Partner closely with Group Legal, Security and Data Protection to harmonise AI policies with existing GDPR, cybersecurity and responsible‑gaming requirements.
  • Work closely with Legal, Security and Data protection teams throughout the operating companies, to ensure they are all well informed about the market dynamics, and the choices made both at group and at opco level, thus enabling close collaboration and coordination
  • Collaborate with our risk team to operate an AI risk‑management process that inventories use‑cases, vendors and models, classifies them by risk level, and mandates proportionate controls and documentation.
  • Manage the cross‑functional AI Governance committee, coordinating decisions on the approval, monitoring and periodic audit of AI systems in production. Participate in the AI Steering Committee.
  • Collaborate closely with data‑science and engineering teams to embed privacy‑by‑design, bias detection and explainability features into model development lifecycles.
  • Liaise with third parties to progress our AI Governance agenda, whether they are service providers such as law firms, or software vendors
  • Identify opportunities to build in-house solutions that progress our AI governance strategy
  • Design and deliver employee training and awareness programmes on responsible‑AI practices, tailoring content for technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Monitor external regulatory and industry developments, providing timely guidance to leadership on their implications for Allwyn’s AI strategy and operations.

  • Perform additional duties within the agreed scope of work as assigned by the Group Head of AI.
