What is this role about?
As the Group SW Architect at Heureka Group, you will be having a key strategic role in aligning and unifying architecture across teams and domains, helping set clear principles and direction without falling into either dogmatic or corporate traps. We’re looking for a pragmatic Software Architect with a strong developer background who can navigate both technical and business worlds.
What will you be working on?
- Define and evolve the technology strategy for the group
- Lead standardization and unification across 3+ architectural domains
- Align development teams across the company on shared principles
- Participate in customer and business meetings to understand business drivers and tailor architecture to support them effectively.
- Being part of the Staff Engineers’ team, closely cooperate with Tech Leads and other tech leaders. Recognize for their ability to influence rather than dictate, work as a team player.
- Support teams through architecture evangelism, mentorship, and strategic guidance.
- Be visible internally, even if not externally – clarity of thought and influence matters most
What are we expecting from you?
- 3–5 years in software architecture roles, ideally across multiple systems
- Strong software engineering background
- You are a communicator and evangelist for modern architecture practices (event-driven, domain-driven etc.), but knows when to make a call—e.g. choosing a language or framework.
- Understands where and how AI can be leveraged meaningfully in systems. You know cloud-native and modern architectural elements well.
- You have worked in product-driven teams
- You have done technical sales or you are comfortable in business-oriented meetings
- Balanced mindset: neither rigid enterprise thinking nor agile “purist”
- You don’t require armies of analysts/project managers to move forward
- Work across teams to ensure cohesion, but doesn’t seek to own everything. Operates more like a consultant with authority than a traditional manager
