Senior Data Advisory Consultant

Adastra Business Consulting (ABC) is a boutique consultancy specializing in business model optimization within Risk Management, Banking & Finance, and Insurance. Headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic, and part of Adastra Group, we help large organizations navigate complex business and data challenges with proven, results-driven methodologies.

We are looking for a Senior Data Advisory Consultant to join our team and help leading organizations assess the maturity of their current data governance practices and shape the future of their data management landscape.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 4–7 years of experience in management consulting or business consulting (data management and analytics)
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data governance/data management frameworks (DAMA DMBoK) and their practical implementation
  • Experience working with MDM, DQ, or data catalog tools (e.g., Informatica, Ataccama, Collibra, Microsoft Purview)
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience with data (e.g., data analysis, data modeling, architecture design, ETL/ELT pipeline development)
  • Ability to structure business problems, design solutions, and build clear narratives for executives
  • Strong business analysis capabilities (process understanding, requirements gathering, value definition)
  • Ability to build business cases, articulate ROI, and explain value drivers
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills (slides + verbal)
  • Strong stakeholder management, including working with business units, IT, data teams, and executives
  • Experience leading workstreams or small teams
  • Ability to guide and mentor Consultants and Associates during delivery
  • Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and ability to manage deadlines
  • Proactive and independent when taking on responsibility
  • Fluency in English & Czech/Slovak language

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and lead Data Governance projects (maturity assessments, framework & strategy design, DG program implementations etc.)
  • Prepare high-quality client deliverables (slide decks, documentation, roadmaps, etc.)
  • Facilitate workshops and interviews with business and technical stakeholders independently
  • Support presales efforts by preparing slides, one-pagers, and contributing to proposals
  • Contribute to offering development and support all activities within Data Governance Competence
  • Lead Consultants and Associates on project tasks and support their growth

Preferred Background:

  • Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
  • Prior experience at a management consulting firm (e.g., Deloitte, or similar Big 4 / strategy consultancy), ideally within a Data, Analytics, or AI practice
  • Exposure to at least one industry vertical (banking, manufacturing, telco, retail, or similar) is a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Certified in any of the following areas: Data Management, Architecture, Cloud computing (CDMP, Azure/AWS/GCP Solutions Architect etc.)
