Our team, as part of Deutsche Telekom Technik GmbH, is responsible for full lifecycle of shared cloud services with web application firewall (WAF) and Service mesh being the prominent candidates for the near future. Currently we are seeking a designer and integration manager who is not only able to drive SW design and integration of shared cloud service systems, but also work in DevOps mode within test and production environments.
Your key responsibility will be ownership of platform and application design and subsequent integration of new systems or features into existing test and production eco systems. If you have experience with telecommunications, Linux, databases, virtualization, networking and test and development automation frameworks you are best candidate for us.
This position is full-time and based in Prague. English is must and German a big advantage. Expect up to 30% of travel.
What you will do
- Design – understanding and further developing of shared cloud service systems within DTAG like WAF, Service Mesh and others.
- Integration - manage and drive integration of these products in Lab and Production environments
- DevOps – hands on mindset with ability to apply technical knowledge to lifecycle and operations
- Test Automation - deliver code / scripts to enable automated testing
- Vendor management – act as single point of contact towards internal and external SW/HW vendors
- Deliver small projects as part of the bigger scope
Required knowledge and skills
- Previous experience with integration and design of IT or telco systems
- Experience in administration, development and maintenance of
- IP design and network traffic (ingress, egress)
- Identity management, e.g. Keycloak
- Monitoring (log-analysis)
- (Magenta) CI/CD, artifactory, automation using container/Docker images
- Cloud native (Container, Microservices)
- Kubernetes (models, pods, pipelines, )
- Web protocols (e.g. http/https ), rest API
- Rules/Policies Handling
- Hands on administration of Linux based applications and databases same for IP/telco networking
- Knowledge of web security, protocols, attacks and defense strategies (OWASP, CRS)
- Knowledge and understanding of virtualization
- Ability to read, write and adopt design documentation and requirements
- Hands on experience with telco systems is a big advantage (HLR/HSS, MME, DEA, Roaming Steering Server, ...)
- Excellent communication skills (ability to clearly articulate your ideas - both verbally and on paper)
- Educational and/or work experience in IT/telecommunications is an advantage
- Ability to work on your own, with “out of the box” mindset (not just 'following' but 'being creative')
- Have “Getting things done” mentality
- Experience in agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, SaFe
- Willingness to participate in on-call duty
- English is must, German and any other foreign language a strong plus
