As an DevOps engineer, you will be technically responsible for one of the critical systems of DT’s infrastructure throughout the whole lifecycle of the system. You will be incorporating new features, integrating new interfacing systems, dealing with capacity, connectivity and automation tasks and even acting as operational support getting the hands-on experience. You shall use your full range of technical, communication, and organizational skills.

What you will do
- Perform detailed analysis of SMS traffic with reference to 3GPP specifications
- Perform SMSC / IPSMGW system testing with prepared automatic test cases
- Perform SMSC / IPSMGW integration tasks (to integrate with other domains 5G, IMS etc.)
- Perform SMSC / IPSMGW operations / level 2 & 3 troubleshooting tasks
- Support SMSC / IPSMGW software onboarding on a target kubernetes cloud platform
- Support SMSC / IPSMGW software vendor selection process / vendor management process
- Work in a DevOps setup to ensure top quality and availability of the service
- Actively monitor new trends and business functionalities of the system
Required knowledge and skills
- Passion for software and telecommunication technologies
- Very good knowledge of SMSC / IPSMGW architecture and SMS signaling
- Very good knowledge of Large Account Protocol SMPP/UCP & Rudimentary SMS Service Chain
- Experience in designing / deployment of cloud native applications
- Good knowledge of Scripting Python / Ruby, Shell, Bash
- Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, Chef, Ansible or Gitlab Pipelines is an advantage, but not a must
- Technical documentation skills
- DevOps orientated
- The ability to work on your own, with “out of the box” mind set
- English is must, German is strong advantage. International travel expectancy is 10%.
- Preferably Master’s degree in the area of computer science or electrical engineering or mathematics, etc.
