Allwyn is looking for a Database / Infrastructure Architect who will be responsible for creating scalable and secure cloud data solutions that support business objectives and drive data-driven decision-making. The Architect will leverage cloud technologies to optimize data infrastructure and processes, ensuring high availability and reliability.
The role encompasses the following key activities and responsibilities:
Database Architecture and Design:
- Create Data Models and Schemas: Develop comprehensive data models and schema definitions that align with business requirements and ensure data integrity.
- Optimize Performance: Continuously monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring scalability and security to handle growing data volumes and user demands.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements, translating them into effective and efficient database designs.
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Design Cloud Infrastructure: Architect and manage cloud infrastructure components, including virtual servers, storage solutions, and networking configurations.
- Ensure High Availability: Implement strategies for high availability and disaster recovery to minimize downtime and data loss.
- System Monitoring and Maintenance: Establish and follow best practices for system monitoring, regular maintenance, and backup procedures to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Manage essential security for given cloud solution, following best practices for data separation and compliancy.
ETL (Extract, Transform, Load):
- Develop ETL Pipelines: Create and maintain ETL pipelines to efficiently extract data from various sources, transform it according to business needs, and load it into cloud data warehouses or other storage systems.
- Define guidelines, what data quality shall be provided by operating companies
- Develop and automate data quality checks to ensure high accuracy of stored data.
Group collaboration
- Work with representatives of operating companies, who are contributing to Group solution with local data
- Provide guidance to operating companies regarding central data infrastructure, access to it. Define operational procedures regarding given database infrastructure.
Work on other tasks within the agreed scope of work based on Supervisor’s instructions.
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 6+ years of relevant experience with database technologies with focus on cloud infrastructure & databases (Consultancy, Telecommunication, Retail, Gaming, Banking)
- Proven experience in database architecture and design.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure management.
- Expertise in developing and maintaining ETL pipelines.
- Proficiency in SQL and cloud database management systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, driving results while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work collaboratively with global teams across various departments
- Business acumen and strong achievement mentality
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Czech and English
